"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all"

La Luchi Foundation provides urban youth with a platform to enrich their physical, mental and emotional health, utilizing holistic resources which include yoga, mindfulness meditation, balanced nutrition, arts and science, sound exploration, and alternative healing practices.

To help youth change their perception to a more positive outlook and influence their environment for the greater good.

Our Programs

La Luchi Foundation uses a multi-platform approach to reach underserved youth, adults, and donors.  By organizing community events, raising awareness of holistic healing benefits, and LLF mindfulness-based programs, La Luchi Foundation promotes emotional intelligence, healthy nutrition, and physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

Yoga & Mindful Meditation

Yoga is an ancient science of self-awareness and self-development that uses posture, exercise, meditation, and breath to quiet the body and mind. Studies show that regular yoga practice reduces hypertension, blood pressure, and releases endorphins in the brain that induce calm and produce feelings of well-being.

Whole Nutrition

There is wisdom and healing power in eating whole food groups. The U.S. Surgeon General believed that 65% of diseases are preventable through good nutrition. La Luchi Foundation’s educational programs incorporate nutrition education.

Holistic Health

Holistic health is an approach to life. Rather than focusing on illness or specific parts of the body, this ancient approach to health considers the whole person and how they interact with their environment. With holistic health people accept responsibility for their own level of well-being and everyday choices are used to take charge of one’s own health.

(Mindful Arts and Conscious Science)

The Mindful Arts and Conscious Science (MACS) curriculum promotes a scientific and experiential exploration of the senses, mindfulness education, and artistic expression. Participating students will develop a greater awareness of self through the interdependency of the five natural elements, senses, arts, nature, and the human experience: Earth and Smell, Air and Touch, Fire and Sight, Water and Taste, and Ether and Sound. MACS curriculum will provide opportunities for youth participants to act out the story of the Whooping Crane as they relate to the species through the art of spoken word, dance, sound, narrative, and poetry that liberate the child within.

ME Time
(Mindful Education)

The Mindful Education Time (ME Time) Program is designed to connect youth participants into a journey within themselves through the practices of mindfulness meditation, yoga, breathing techniques, and sound healing. Mindfulness is defined as a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and body sensations.
